Overview

This course will highlight the good practice of embedding independent tasks and life skills into the curriculum for a SEND pupil. This course will cover how to develop pupil social skills, organisation, working skills, group work tasks and the development of self-confidence through gaining independence. This course will include:

• Strategies for teachers to implement in their classroom to facilitate independent tasks 
• Examples of good practice in developing independent life skills
• Developing social skills and communication in and out of lesson time 
• Planning for specific pupils in your lesson
