Training by Woodlane

Training at Woodlane High School is unique as we are one of the few special schools in the local area to support pupils with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities in one specialist school; offering a range of GCSEs.

Pupils follow a majority primary model in their transition year and a secondary model from Year 8-11, where pupils attend lessons with subject specialists. This helps inform our staff of the different support required in primary and secondary schools, resulting in some of our training being suitable for both phases.

Many of our current pupils have been considered for secondary mainstream and some are likely to have similar needs to pupils placed in mainstream schools. Our expertise is therefore relevant to mainstream, as well as special colleagues.

We are able to offer bespoke training and courses, you are invited to contact us for further details.  We have provided a number of examples of possible training to give you an idea of how we can support you.
