The 2023/24 headline data for all pupils shows outstanding achievement, with 98.22 % of Year 11 pupils meeting or exceeding their expected outcome. 68.05% of pupils exceeded expectations which is well above the school’s outstanding threshold.

Results in 2023/24 demonstrates an increase of 2.5% in the proportion meeting expectations to 98.22%, which subsequently reduces this year’s pupils below figure to just 1.78%, a 3% reduction from last year. The proportion of pupils exceeding expectations fell by 9.49% however still achieved the school’s threshold for outstanding. Whilst we have seen a dip in exceeding this year it is prudent to highlight that there are multiple factors that have contributed to this, the prominent one being all Nurture Class pupils meeting expectations.
Summer 2023/24 Headline Results:
- The proportion of pupils meeting expectations rose by over 2.5%, exceeding 98% for the first time.
- 6 out of 7 Foundation subjects achieved 100% of pupils meeting expectations with a high proportion exceeding.
- The percentage of pupils achieving below their expected outcome decreased this year to an all-time low.
- 100% of pupils met expected outcomes in English, Maths, Science, Art, Computing, DT, ASDAN, & PE.
- Over 50% of pupils exceeded expected outcomes within 8 out of 9 subjects.
- Science achieved the school’s threshold for Outstanding in both meeting and exceeding expectations.
Outcomes in the Core Subjects:
This academic year English, Maths and Science all achieved the school’s threshold for Outstanding. The core subjects all achieved 100% meeting expectations. This year we saw some fluctuations in exceeding when compared to last year, however all subjects achieved the outstanding threshold.
Outcomes in the Foundation Subjects:
The foundation subjects continue to demonstrate outstanding progress. All subjects achieved 100% of pupils meeting expected outcomes, which is a highlight of this year’s outcomes.
Impact on Groups:
Generally, gaps in achievement were small between groups of pupils. Where gaps exist, they are closed swiftly.
- Non-PP pupils achieved and exceeded their expectations more commonly than their peers.
- The proportion of boys who exceed expectations in English.
- The proportion of Girls who exceed in the core subjects.
Areas for Improvement/Interest:
- Continue to drive improvements in Humanities with a focus on exceeding expectations.
- Review the qualification offer in Vocational Studies
- Close the gap between pupils in receipt of PP and not in receipt of PP in the CORE subjects.
- Improve the achievement of pupils who take the Entry Level in English and Science.
- Close the gap between Girls and Boys exceeding expectations in English.
- Improve overall exceeding figure in whole school data.
- Close the gap between boys and girls in exceeding expectations.
- Increase the proportion of pupils exceeding expectations in the CORE subjects.
